Overview

Where the Inspiration Began

For this project, I explored the distinctive style of Saul Bass and applied his design principles to create a unique brand identity.

BREEZ, an international bakery and coffee chain, draws inspiration from his bold typography, dynamic compositions, and iconic visual storytelling, resulting in a cohesive and memorable branding concept.

▪ LOGO SKETCHES

When sketching the logos, I initially felt stuck trying to represent coffee or products tied directly to the brand.

UI KIT

Setting up the foundation…

As a first step, I established the display configuration, grid system, and content layout for both the cluster and ICS to create a strong foundation for the design.

Then, I created a UI kit and design system for the redesign, refining them through multiple iterations. The first version lacked full integration of Jeep’s brand identity, while later iterations explored using Jeep’s signature orange, a more consistent icon style, and a cohesive system that unified the look and feel across screens.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

For the cluster redesign, I explored different gauge layouts and chose two: a Standard Gauge Layout as the default for normal driving, and a Dynamic Gauge Layout as an alternate view that highlights richer center content.

Cluster

For the gauge design, I explored different gradients, strokes, and styles to match the feel of the new redesign. I also tested various cluster shapes to ensure there was enough space to consistently display all necessary content.
